Assist Profiles allow you to define how AI behaves in BEAMON by creating reusable configurations. You can standardize tone, structure, and knowledge sources to ensure consistent outputs across different use cases.
Open and Browse the Assist Profiles
- Click the book icon in the interface
- The Assist Profiles panel opens on the right-hand side
- Use the tabs to navigate between:
- Your profiles (personal profiles)
- Company (organization-wide profiles)
Each tab includes:
- a search bar to filter profiles by keywords.
- a grid view displaying profile tiles.
Create a Profile
- Open the Assist Profiles panel
- Click Create profile at the bottom of the panel
- Configure the profile settings
- Save your changes
You can create profiles for personal use or, depending on permissions, for your organization.
Manage Profiles
- Use the search or filter to find specific profiles
- Click View to open a profile
Within a profile:
- Click Edit to update the profile
- Click the trash icon in the top right to delete the profile
Configure a Profile
The Configuration tab controls how BEAMON Assist responds.
Profile Name
Assign a clear and descriptive name to make the profile easy to identify.
System Prompt
The system prompt defines persistent instructions that are always applied when generating responses.
You can use the system prompt to:
- Define your practice area (e.g., employment law, M&A)
- Set the tone and style (e.g., formal, concise, client-friendly)
- Specify output structure (e.g., bullet points, headings, clause format)
- Control level of detail (e.g., summary vs. detailed analysis)
You can also configure profiles for specific tasks, for example:
- Research: detailed analysis with structured reasoning
- Clause drafting: formal language and structured clauses
- Email drafting: concise, client-friendly communication
Additional options include:
- Restricting outputs to a specific jurisdiction
- Requiring structured formatting (e.g., headings or numbered sections)
- Defining whether sources should be referenced
- Controlling language or audience (e.g., internal vs. client-facing)
Response Length
Select the desired response length:
- Auto
- Brief
- Standard
- Comprehensive
Configure Knowledge
The Knowledge tab defines which sources are always considered when using the profile.
Add Documents
- Upload documents directly
- Select documents from the document folder
These documents are automatically included when generating responses with this profile.
Legal Sources
- Select one or multiple legal sources
- Selected sources are prioritized during generation
Web Search
- Enable or disable web search by default
- When enabled, external information can be included in responses
