Assist automatically saves your chat history, making it easy to continue conversations, review previous work, or remove chats you no longer need.
Open the Chat History
Access the Chat history in the sidebar. A table will display with the following columns:
- Topic – Your asked query. If you started a chat by uploading documents without entering a query, this will show as No questions asked.
- Date – The date and time of the first input in the chat.
- Actions – Click the three-dot icon to Rename the chat or Delete the chat, including any queries and uploaded documents.
Pagination and the total result count are shown at the bottom of the page.
Chat history is not shareable with others.
Reopen a Chat
Click on a Topic to reopen that chat. You’ll return to the point of your selected query.
- If the chat was started by uploading documents without a message, No questions asked will display as the topic. Clicking it will open the chat and show the attachments.
On the Assist main page, the Jump back in section below the chat input lets you quickly reopen your last five chats. Icons show which tools were used and if any attachments were included — hover over them for more details.
Rename a Chat
Click on the Rename to rename a conversation.
Delete a Chat
Click on the three-dot icon and select Delete to permanently delete a chat and its content.
- Use this to review previous answers or delete specific queries (and their associated documents).
Uploaded documents are tied to the query they were submitted with. Deleting a query will also delete the attached files. Deleted chats cannot be restored.
