BRYTER supports any SAML based Single Sign-on (SSO) as well as two-factor authentication (2FA) within its native authentication system to enhance user security.
2FA is an additional layer of security used to enhance the protection of online accounts beyond just a username and password. We prioritize security throughout every aspect of our software, including authentication, and we highly recommend its use for all users.
Once this feature has been enabled for you, SSO can be activated in the Admin Console. This allows you to centrally manage user authentication through your chosen Identity Provider (e.g., Azure AD, Okta) in the BRYTER platform.
For 2FA, BRYTER offers compatibility with a variety of mobile applications such as Google Authenticator, Authy, Okta Verify, Symantec VIP, or any application that supports the FreeOTP standard.
You can configure a mix of SSO and native BRYTER authentication to accommodate different user preferences and security needs.
You can choose to make it mandatory for all your users (both end users and authors) or simply offer it as an optional feature for them to activate at their discretion.
When signing in, users will be prompted to activate 2FA with a mobile application and scanning the QR code in there. Their device will then be registered. |
If they need to add another device or remove the existing one, authors and admins have a dedicated section available.
