When you publish a module, you have the option to configure it for exclusive access via an API key.
This feature serves two primary purposes:
-
Execution API:
It allows for automatic triggering of the module through third-party applications like Microsoft Power Automate. In this scenario, the module should not include any input nodes to ensure it can execute without requiring end user interaction. You can learn more about this use case.
-
One-time URL:
This feature enables you to restrict module access without necessitating end users to authenticate through the BRYTER platform. In this use case, you ca embed your module within a protected space, such as your intranet. To prevent authorized end users from sharing the module with unauthorized parties, you create a one-time URL for the module through the API, granting access solely through this unique link. You can find more details on this use case.
This is a licensed feature which can be enabled
by
your BRYTER contact person. For further information, please reach out
to
them or
support@bryter.io.
Additional pricing may apply.
How to activate API-based access
In the publishing configurations, select Only accessible via an API key under Access settings:
In your Publish side panel, instead of the module URL you will now see the Module ID and an API key. These parameters can be utilized in the use cases linked above.
