Enable recent sessions and allow end users to seamlessly resume previously abandoned sessions. This feature, an extension of Come Back Later and Restart This Page, automatically saves authenticated end users' progress.
Upon opening the module link, end users are prompted to either Continue their recent session or Start a new session, eliminating the need to save personalized links.
This is an internal beta release, if you would like to trial the feature, please contact your BRYTER contact person or support@bryter.io.
Recent sessions selection
When Come Back Later and Restart This Page is enabled for your published module, abandoning a session triggers the recent sessions prompt upon the end user’s return. End users can:
- Continue a previous session from where they left off.
- Start a new session from the first node, without any previous data.
Additional considerations
- End users need to be authenticated with BRYTER to see the recent sessions selection.
- The recent sessions selection will not appear if no previous session exists or if the session has already been completed.
- Data input by end users is saved only when they click Next. Leaving the page without clicking Next will result in the loss of the entered data on that page.
- Handover nodes affect how recent sessions are loaded, see below.
If your module includes Handover nodes, please note the following deviation in the process:
-
Prior to reaching the first Handover node, end users can only return to their own previously abandoned sessions.
-
After reaching the Handover node, the recent sessions selection upon opening the module link will be presented only to end users whose email addresses are included as recipients of the handover.
Known limitations
The Recent Sessions selection:
- Only displays the last session that is completed or handed over to someone else.
- Is not supported in public modules or applications.
- Retains the BRYTER default appearance; custom themes are not applied in this context.
- In handover processes, does not support the use of group email lists that cannot be matched to a BRYTER account.
