Accessing the Team Page
To manage team members in BEAMON:
- Go to the Configuration page. You’ll find this option at the very bottom of the sidebar.
- Select the Team tab to view your team members and manage settings.
Team Roles
There are four user roles available in BEAMON:
Role | Description |
---|---|
Admin | Full access, including role and user management |
Business User | |
Compliance Expert | |
Domain Expert |
Setting the Default User Role
At the top of the Team page, you can define a default user role. This role will be assigned to any user you invite until they accept the invitation.
If you change the default role after sending an invitation but before the user has accepted it, the newly selected role will apply when the user accepts. To avoid giving users unintended permissions, set the default role conservatively and adjust user roles individually afterward if needed.
Adding a Team Member
- Click Add a team member in the top-right corner.
- Enter the team member’s email address.
- Click Send invite.
The user will receive an email invitation to join your team. They must click the invitation link, set their name and password, and complete their account setup.
Removing a Team Member
At this time, users cannot be manually deleted from the system. If you need to delete a user from the team, please reach out to your BEAMON contact person or contact support@bryter.io for assistance.
Understanding User Statuses
Status | Description |
---|---|
Active user | The user has accepted the invitation and completed their account setup. |
Pending invite | The user has been invited but has not yet clicked the invite link. |
Accepted invite | The user clicked the link but has not completed account setup (name/password). |
If a user is stuck in "Accepted invite" status, ask them to click the invitation link again or use the forgot password option to complete setup.
Deleting an Invite
You can revoke a pending invite by clicking the trash can icon next to the user’s row.
This will not remove the email from their inbox, but it will prevent the invite from being used.
Troubleshooting Missing Invitations
If a user hasn’t received their invitation:
- Ask them to check their spam or junk folder.
- If the invite is still missing:
- Go to the Team page.
- Locate the user’s entry and ensure their status is Pending invite.
- Click the trash can icon to delete the invite.
- Re-invite the user by sending a new invitation.
- You can repeat this process multiple times if needed.
- Still not working? Contact support@bryter.io with:
- Your account name
- The user’s email address
