Note on legacy behavior: 'Service' renamed to 'Application'
What previously was called Services within the BRYTER platform is now renamed to Applications making it more self-explanatory and convenient for our customers.
Further, Service Frontends are now referred to as Publish Applications.
What is the BRYTER workspace for authors?
The workspace is the first interface an author or admin sees when logging into BRYTER. This is the part of BRYTER that admins use to access the Admin Console or authors use to build their applications with BRYTER. From the workspace, authors can create, access, and manage all applications and the components these contain (modules, data views, case databases, and publish applications) in the Applications tab. Authors can also use pre-built applications through the Templates tab in the workspace or browse through available integrations in Integrations.
Why would you use the BRYTER workspace?
The main purpose of the workspace is to provide you with an overview of all applications that have been shared with you or have been created by you. This means, in BRYTER terms, that you are a collaborator in these applications
How to use the Workspace
The workspace allows for easy access to applications, templates, integration marketplace, and the help center.
Applications
Applications are your 'unit' for use cases that consist of more than just one Module and will enable you to arrange and manage your Modules better. With Applications, you can group Modules that make up a specific use case and share these in one go with other Application collaborators.
For example, an Application called 'Vacation Request' would contain several modules with different purposes and different interfaces for different people: Module A would consist of an interface for requesters, a person who wants to log their vacation, whereas Module B would be geared towards the approver, a line manager or the person the requester reports to.
Templates
The Templates tab contains all available templates that have been made available for authors to get inspiration on use cases and best building practices or as a starting point for their own use case ideas. Templates are created by the business consulting team at BRYTER and can serve as a starting point for building one’s own applications. These Templates include either only one individual module (like the NDA Generator) or a complete suite of Applications components such as several modules, case databases, and data views (e.g. Vendor Benchmarking Platform).
Integrations (store)
Authors can currently view a teaser for the upcoming Integrations store page, to introduce available BRYTER integrations. Authors can also use this space to submit a request for more information about an integration. This page will soon list available integrations and will later evolve into a broader Add-ons store.
Integrations can be used in modules to enhance the applications built by authors. Integrations enable authors to connect to third-party services and databases, use external functionality for automation, and share data. This adds your existing tools and systems’ capabilities to your no-code solutions.
Help
This tab refers back to the Support or Help Center where authors can browse the available feature documentation to learn more about certain features or search for ways how to solve specific problems or build more efficiently.
