Using Document view, you can provide your end users a navigable document.
When you enable Document view within an input or Result node, the end user interface is divided: your input node appears on the left-hand side, while the document is presented on the right.
The document is displayed in view mode and cannot be edit by the end user. You also have the option to highlight specific text within the document and to hide the download icon in the top-right corner to display a non-downloadable document.
Use document view
-
Activate the Document view option toggle in your input or Result node.
-
To select the document you wish to display, choose it from the dropdown menu. The dropdown will include all documents from File upload input and Create Document action nodes, as well as those from integrations.
Documents should be in either .PDF or .DOCX file format. Documents coming from older versions of Microsoft Word (such as .DOC) cannot be previewed. -
Optionally, you can include text for highlighting within the document. To achieve this, enter your text in the Highlight text field. You can also reference variables. When the specified text is found within the document, the first occurence will be highlighted. If needed, the Document view will jump to the highlighted section.
Please note that the highlighting feature is not compatible with .PDF files that solely consist of images.
