Use text formatting options to style the text your user sees. Formatting options are available in the content section of each node or action and are visible to the user in both the module and any generated documents or emails. Note that while you have the option to implement custom styling via a template for documents and emails. Learn more about customizing documents.
Example use cases
Style how your module is displayed to your user
Use text formatting in the BRYTER editor to format the text in your module, as shown in the left image below. The user will see the module as shown in the image to the right.
Format documents or emails
You can also use the text formatting options in the BRYTER editor to style the documents and emails generated through the module. For instance, you can add the styling within the Content section of a Create textblock action or Send Email action. Conversely, you can also add text formatting by uploading a template. There are multiple ways to transform styles from the content section to a document.
Transformation of styling into Microsoft Word documents
Uploading a blank Microsoft Word document, which has no styling applied, will remove all styling from the headings. It will keep styles like bold, italic or underlined text.
When using a styled Microsoft Word document, which has predefined styles for headlines, BRYTER will convert the headings into the predefined styles of the document. This is also true for the BRYTER default template.
[ 1 ] Header
Use this button to make your selected text into a heading. You can choose between different sizes of headings. This is useful when you want structure a page or document which has many subheadings.
[ 2 ] Bold, Italics, Underline
Use these buttons to bold, italicize or underline your text. Click the button again to remove the formatting.
[ 3 ] Bulleted list and Numbered list
Use these options to insert a bulleted list or numbered list into the Content area.
[ 4 ] Hyperlink
Select your text and click on this button to insert a hyperlink. In the text-input area that appears, paste in a valid link and use the 'Enter' key to save the hyperlink.
